Shanghai Yu-Life Toastmasters Club Meetings #450

This the first club meeting after the Division N Club Officer Training program. At least I see all the Officers on site are very dynamic and energetic. We are expecting another great learning experience.

We have some new guests coming on this Sunday morning. Skye and her son Forrest, Martin and his son Zeyu, and Sandy from neighborhood, welcome to our meeting.

The project SAA is going on. This time I host the session with the wind, rain, and storm game to fill in the excitement.

Our acting President@Peter introduces Toastmasters International and Yu-Life club, and officially starts the meeting. He is also the TMD. He introduces the agenda and says, "Table is in our hear."

c TTM@xws holds the topic - Say no. Seven people give speeches based on my questions. My questions are based on different situations that people sometimes need to say no. From all the impromptu speeches I really think that people coming to our club, or even people choose Toastmasters club are very kind and nice people - they try hard not say no directly in order to not hurt the other people. While keeping good communication, we should also keep our no short and direct.

We have one prepared speech from @Bell. This is @Bell's first speech in her level 2 project. She talks about her tutor - I mean mentor. She surely puts a lot of passion and thought in this speech. I notice interaction with the audience using questions, vivid story-telling using vocal variety, and audience engagement calling for action. This is a great improvement for her Ice Breaker speech - which was like a text reciting. I am very glad to witness another member growing to be future star.
