Shanghai Yu-Life Toastmasters Club Meetings #469

The sky is covered with grey clouds. It seems rainy. A few club members got cold and could not come. Our meeting manager VPE@Lanlan Geng quickly makes urgent arrangement for new role takers.

Our SAA@Alex leads a 1-2-3 game, which has increamental difficulties like playing different levels of game.

Our acting president@Maggie CHEN introduces Toastmasters business much better this time. She will learn more about the organization and our club history in a short time.

Our TMD@Maggie uses her personal style to introduce speakers and transfer the sessions with some wisdom words in betweeen.

TTM@Carol dresses in a very good style, which is a good sign for saying good bye to 2023 and embracing the coming 2024. This matches her Table Topics - sharing your 2023 stories/images. Seven people gives their impromptu speeches about the most exciting/unforgettable/touching stories in 2023. Some talk about new year resolution, some talk about travelling, some talk about kids, and some talk about parents. People do care people.

Alex is both TTE and Timer, which makes him increadibly busy. While he is amazingly handling these tasks fairly well in his easy-going style. Actually, he proudly wins the Ah King title. No shame, only glory.

We have three wonderful prepared speeches from our club members: Yolanda LI (L3-p1), Calin ZHU (L3-p1) and me (contest warm-up). Both of the other two performed much better in that their stories are much natural. I need craft my speech to match the adience a little more.

Last but not least, Joker XU as the GE leads the TAG team giving their excellent evaluation of the meeting.

Timer@Alex: No worry. Good control and makes our meeting on schedule the first time recently. Timer should learn from Alex.

Ah-Couter@Lanlan GENG: very detailed notice of AH words, some useful tips and humor.

Grammarian@Ryder: first English teacher in our club, very talented stage performer.

The meeting is on schedule - thanks to all the meeting attendees.
