Shanghai Yu-Life Toastmasters Club Meetings #486

Today we have a good summer day. The temporary new meeting venue is very close to our office address. I can find it easily.

Selena is already at the meeting door with a lot of stuffs with her. I think we can rely on her for important things.

we have several guests in this meeting, and our president Maggie gives her welcoming words to 2 new members: Francis and A-Zhong. We have a good opening.

I am the TMD of the meeting. The agenda is not very special - TT plus 3 prepared speeches.

Maggie is the TTM. She asks suitable questions around the topic high and low. I am looking for the high and low points in my life when pursuing our goals. When you are high, you may find your goals are low. So there can be always some unexpected things. But isn't life is a journey? Without high and low, it wouldn't be that worth living, right? Enjoy everything in your life. Happy hacking.

The three prepared speech are all well-prepared. From James' Sugar, Maggie's Interview to Lisa's Take role in the meeting, I can see the progress and growth of each member regardless of their previous experience, I can notice that they are applying some techniques they learned in the club. That's the value.

The IEs are: Carol, Joker and me.

Carol catched some good points: using members to describe ideas. She also gives an insightful suggest to picturize the abstract things when give an informative speech. Valuable evaluation.

Joker is both TTE and IE. His evaluation is always encourage and supportive. He can find the small points for improvement. Sharp observation and critical thinking.

I tried to create impressive evaluation for Lisa's speech so people can really take home something. This is my recent goal - be outstanding and out of mediocre. The 30 Yuan is a result and I am glad I win the best evaluation. This is a high moment.

The General evaluation team is led by Lisa.

Timer: Francis - first time timer, we all see his potential as a raising star in our club because his native humor and well preparation.

Ah-Counter: Emily - she is so calm on the stage that we are all quiet when she talks. She not only gives the Ah-Counter report, but also makes her heartful comment on other aspects of the meeting. We like her genius love in the club.

Grammarian: Selena - she takes a lot of notes about people's language usage. She points some pronunciation problems we have. Her word of today is so unnormal that people like to use it.

A great meeting in June.
